A/Z Corporation is Pleased to Announce the Completion of Eastern Connecticut State University’s New Student Center

Willimantic, CT, September 27, 2007 –Eastern Connecticut State University's new $20 million student center will pack plenty of "wow" factor into its 90,000 square feet, as it opens its doors to students, faculty, administration, staff, alumni and guests this Fall; destined to be a dynamic environment for learning, living, and creating.On September 25, Governor M. Jodi Rell led dignitaries who were joined by President Nuñez and the campus community as Eastern dedicated its new Student Center with a ribbon cutting-ceremony. The remodeled and expanded student center has doubled in size and boasts a 5,000 square foot fitness center, campus bookstore, a state-of-the-art

theater, coffeehouse, snack bar, several open lounge areas, conference and meeting rooms, and offices for student clubs and organizations. The new facility will interconnect on two sides to the existing Athletic/Sports Center, allowing easier access to the new Student Center.A/Z Corporation provided Construction Administration Services to the Department of Public Works for the new Student Center at Eastern Connecticut State University. The A/Z team acted as Owner’s Representative working closely with the Department of Public Works Project Management Team, the Design Team, the Architect – Svigals & Partners Architects of New Haven, the General Contractor – Newfield Construction, Inc. of Hartford and University representatives to maintain budget limitations and schedule milestones.
