As A/Z Corporation enters the New Year, we vigilantly seek opportunities to expand our business enterprise. It is important that we continuously adapt to the evolving marketplace by focusing our attention upon growing sectors and developing our relationships within them. With this in mind, A/Z has instituted an improved Business Development and Operations plan for 2010. We are pleased to announce the following changes:

Business Development

We would like to welcome Mr. John Hurst as our new Senior Director of Business Development. John comes to us with over 30 years of managerial experience in business development in the construction industry. He most recently served as Vice President and Director of Business Development and Marketing for Bovis Lend Lease LMB, Inc. in Boston. John’s strong background in construction and business development stems from his education at Northeastern University, the Boston Architecture Center, and Harvard University Graduate School of Design’s Architecture and Marketing Communications degree programs.

John will lead our Business Development program for the organization. He will concentrate on project opportunities that allow A/Z to realize full potential within our expanded market sectors. In addition to his many longstanding professional relationships with clients in our concentrated markets, John also brings us many strong relationships with leading architectural and engineering firms.

Operations

Our continued success in technically oriented projects has led us to initiate operational management changes to improve our support structure accordingly.

Rob Rose is being promoted to Senior Director to support our market development in utility, mission critical, and specialty projects. With significant experience in utility and industrial manufacturing, Rob has the necessary background to support our enhanced business development plan. Over 10 of Rob’s 25 years of industry experience have been with us at A/Z. He is a Professional Engineer and Master Electrician in MA, RI, and CT. Rob holds a BSEE from SUNY Maritime College and an MS in Engineering Management from the University of New Haven.

We are pleased to announce that Steve Lusi will become our Electrical Operations Manager upon completion of his assignment at National Grid. Steve has an extensive range of experience in power distribution and specialty process manufacturing. His electrical engineering background will also support our design-build electrical initiatives. Steve has supported projects at A/Z for 12 years and has over 21 years of industry experience. Steve holds a BSEE and an MS in Geophysics from Brown University.

Through this development, we strengthen our commitment in adapting to the changing construction industry. This flexibility is a large part of remaining successful in an evolving marketplace. By focusing on areas that differentiate A/Z in our industry, we can continue to maximize our future opportunities. We are looking forward to having another great year.
