Pfizer’s success in the research-based pharmaceutical sector is closely tied to its culture of constant innovation. A modern new office space, designed by The S/L/A/M Collaborative and van Zelm Engineers, was implemented at its R&D facility in order to encourage further advancement. Existing hard wall offices were completely gutted to make way for dynamic, innovative work space. The 200,000 sf area of renovation now features flexible work stations for approximately 1,150 staff members alongside meeting spaces and other amenities to facilitate collaboration. A/Z provided pre-construction and construction management services for the project.
