Having a reliable source of energy is vital to patient care and safety, making sustainable on-site alternatives a great option for healthcare service providers. For this reason, Hartford Hospital integrated a new fuel cell system into their power infrastructure. The fuel cell, a 1.4 MW unit manufactured by FuelCell Energy, provides electric and steam power to the hospital. A/Z’s specialty teams were responsible for installing the fuel cell and a heat recovery steam generator while preventing any interruptions to ongoing hospital services.
