High-performance materials manufacturer Saint-Gobain conducts research and development for its next-generation plastics and coated abrasives from its Northborough, MA facility. The campus is comprised of 3 buildings totaling 185,000 sf. A/Z was selected to perform a series of mechanical upgrades to the pilot manufacturing space that is used within these facilities. The upgrades to the facility encompassed the reconfiguration of the compressed air system as well as the installation of a new chemical pump transfer lift. The execution of this work required a high degree of collaboration between A/Z and Saint-Gobain to prevent unplanned impacts to the manufacturing processes and ensure safety for all building occupants.
