Foster’s New cGMP Production Facility Ready

With demand rising for its combination products, Foster Delivery Science undertook a strategic endeavor to expand its cGMP manufacturing capacity. Together with A/Z and DPS Engineering, the team recently completed the development of a new facility from the ground-up in Putnam, CT adjacent to the company’s headquarters.

Pharmaceutical clients rely on high precision and consistency from Foster’s melt extrusion products, so cGMP compliance was a core focus of the team’s design-build effort. The approximately 32,000-square-foot facility incorporated a number of vital functional requirements; these include regulated clean manufacturing space, ambient storage, and cold storage. All cGMP analytical functions are performed in the facility’s laboratory area to support American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards.

The highly collaborative planning and execution of this project between all stakeholders has resulted in a robust, flexible facility that is ready to support Foster’s continuing commitment to exceeding quality standards.
