A landscaping crew working outdoors was observed showing early signs of heat stress (fatigue, sweating, routinely finding shade near the building) during high-temperature conditions. The receptionist recognized the risk and notified the HSE team immediately. Heat illness prevention measures were then implemented.

Devan noticed the potential for sparks to escape the containment of where hot work was being performed, Devan stopped work and reconfigured the hot work containment to prevent sparks from leaving the containment. He received a soft cooler, hat, rechargeable light and a tumbler! Congrats, Devan!
