After a lunch & learn, the team noticed snow and ice had slid toward the roof edge and was overhanging the gutters. The area below was barricaded while a safe removal plan was developed. A subcontractor used a scissor lift, staying out of the line of fire, and removed the ice using a long board. The process was repeated along the building while maintaining a safe position. Once complete, the area was cleaned and barricades were removed.
Stay alert to winter conditions. Snow and ice can shift and create hazards without warning.
