YNHH L+M Hospital - Phases 3C & 3D
A/Z recently completed Phases 3C and 3D of the Active Emergency Department Renovation & Expansion at L+M Hospital in New London, CT. The client was extremely impressed, sharing, “this is how a project should look being turned over”— a huge compliment from YNHH. This milestone project has also helped pave the way for additional smaller project opportunities across the campus.
Team members attended a four-hour NFPA 70E Update session led by Danny McEllin from Construction Training Solutions. During this course, attendees learned about electrical safety in the workplace and best safety practices for lockout/tagout —reinforcing our commitment to continuous learning and maintaining the highest standards of safety on every project.
Electrical TMs attended a Continuing Education session hosted by Tim Mikloiche, Electrical Instructor and founder of Electrical Training Services. This annual session, which is a mandatory requirement to maintain one’s electrical license, covered recent changes to the National Electrical Code 2023 as mandated by the State of Connecticut. Thank you to our team for their dedication to staying current, compliant, and committed to delivering safe, high-quality work.
National Coast Guard Museum
At the National Coast Guard Museum project in Groton, CT, a team member identified that proper fire watch was not in place during welding activities from a scissor lift at the ground floor ceiling. The issue was promptly addressed, and corrective measures were implemented to prevent a potential incident.
Kudos to the team for quickly spotting and correcting the issue to maintain safety.
