If you're thirsty, you're already mildly dehydrated. Thirst is a late signal—your body has already started losing water before you feel thirsty. Even 2% dehydration can reduce concentration, reaction time, and memory. That's enough to affect work performance and decision-making. You lose water even when you're not sweating. Breathing, talking, and simply sitting at your desk all contribute to fluid loss.
A load doesn't have to fall far to cause a serious injury. When work is happening overhead, make sure below is protected with barricade chains, flagging or tape, concrete barriers, or guardrail protection before anyone enters. The safest place during lifting operations is outside the drop zone. If a load is suspended, stay clear until it's safely secured. If work is being performed overhead, ask yourself: "What is protecting me if something falls?" If the answer is nothing, stop and reassess.

A TM servicing a mobile generator found a wasp's nest located inside the front access panel when attempting to turn off the main power switch. First, the TM notified a supervisor and Safety. A safe plan of action was then generated on DAP prior to the nest being removed via wasp spray.
Without the due diligence and urgency of this TM, serious injuries could have occurred in the future.
While on a scissor lift applying paint thinner, a TM accidentally splashed it into their left eye. The TM lowered the lift, notified the supervisor, and immediately used an eyewash station for 15–20 minutes. The TM was then taken to an offsite clinic for first-aid treatment.
