Confined spaces can contain serious hazards like toxic gases, oxygen deficiency, engulfment risks, and poor ventilation. Always test the atmosphere before entering. A permit-required confined space requires specific safety procedures, including hazard evaluation, entry permits, trained attendants, and a rescue plan. Never enter a confined space unless you are trained, authorized, and following the required safety procedures. If conditions change, stop work and reassess.
