CT Construction Industry Unites to Advance Mental Health & Safety
In recognition of National Construction Safety Week and Mental Health Awareness Month, our team was proud to join leaders from across Connecticut’s construction industry at the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Day hosted by the Connecticut AEC Partnership.
The event brought together organizations from throughout the industry to ceremonially sign a shared commitment to advancing construction safety, mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and substance use support across the workforce.
This initiative, known as the Foundation for Wellness: Guiding Principles for Mental Health, Suicide Prevention, and Substance Use in the Connecticut Construction Industry, reflects a united effort to reduce stigma, strengthen support systems, and foster a healthier, more supportive culture for the individuals who build and maintain our communities every day.
The construction industry has made tremendous strides in job site safety over the years, but protecting the well-being of our workforce extends beyond physical safety alone. Mental health awareness, access to support resources, and open conversations are essential components of creating a safer and stronger industry for everyone.
We are honored to stand alongside our industry partners in support of this important initiative and remain committed to helping drive meaningful change through continued awareness, advocacy, and action.
