A/Z collaborated with Recycled Energy Development to design and implement a CHP solution at National Gypsum Company’s Burlington, NJ manufacturing facility. The unique application of the system allows National Gypsum to utilize turbine exhaust heat directly in its manufacturing processes, resulting in an overall system efficiency of over 90%. The system is driven by a 3.2 MW Solar Centaur 4700 gas-fired turbine generator, which was installed in a purpose-built facility directly adjacent to the production building.
