A/Z provided construction services for Electric Boat’s Graving Dock Switchgear Replacement Project. The project encompassed the removal of existing circuit breakers, equipment and cabling, modification of structural steel at six sub-grade electrical vaults as well as the installation of new owner-provided 480 volt 3200 ampere above grade, pre-manufactured switchgear assemblies. Included in the installation was the replacement of secondary conductors from existing transformers to new switchgear and the extension of all load cables up to new circuit breakers located in the above ground switchgear assemblies.
