The Maritime Center of Excellence (MCOE) is a striking new addition to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy campus in New London, CT, designed to serve cadets, faculty, and visitors alike. Its bold architecture—highlighted by a sweeping stainless steel roof, exposed glulam timbers, and expansive glass curtain walls—houses a range of functional spaces including labs, workshops, and a welcome center. Completed in just 16 months, the LEED Gold-certified facility earned national recognition for its craftsmanship.
