National Coast Guard Museum Award

We are very excited to announce that the National Coast Guard Museum Association (NCGMA) has selected A/Z as the Preconstruction-Construction Manager for its upcoming world-class museum in New London.

The National Coast Guard Museum Project consists of three distinct scopes of work: the ground-up construction of a $100 million, ±100,000 GSF museum, a new elevated pedestrian bridge, and major waterfront improvements. The NCGMA website has a wealth of information on the background and vision for this project.

Together with the geotechnical experts from GEI consultants, the team is preparing to move forward with the critical planning effort that is part of projects of this scale and importance. President / CEO of NCGMA, Richard J. Grahn, stated that “Hiring these two experienced construction firms is an important step forward for the future National Coast Guard Museum and the public access project.

Currently, the US Coast Guard (USCG) is the only one of the five branches of the US Armed Forces without a national museum. The planned facility will change this by honoring the USCG service members and sharing the scope of their missions. The A/Z team is tremendously proud to be part of a project that is connected to the legacy and future of the USCG.
