Cytec engaged A/Z to support the expansion of the production capabilities at their Wallingford, CT facility. The total initiative was executed utilizing a phased approach in order to minimize any impact that construction activities would have upon Cytec’s ongoing development and manufacturing efforts. IDEA was responsible for providing comprehensive design services for this project as well as procurement for new process equipment, process safety management, and process hazard analysis support. A/Z’s team performed the complex electrical requirements necessary to drive the upgraded process and the new equipment being installed. 3D models were used as a crucial basis of coordination for this technically complex initiative.
