The State of Connecticut’s Department of Public Health Laboratory is a state-of-the-art, Bio-Safety Level 3 facility with the unique capacity to function as a rapid-response bio-terrorism center. This ground-up 110,000 sf facility provides daily services such as quickly and accurately testing for the West Nile virus, rabies, and lead poisoning. A/Z managed the development of this $75 million program (designed by Flad Architects and Vanderweil Engineers) for the Department of Public Health, and our firm was also selected separately to manage the facility’s maintenance needs as part of a multi-year program.

It was an absolute pleasure to have A/Z on the Public Health Laboratory team. Their professionals are of the highest caliber, and I can’t recommend their firm enough.
