The historic Lowe Building on Manchester Community College’s main campus was originally constructed during a time when it was not necessary to have a full fire protection system installed within the facility. Following a new addition to the building several years ago, it was necessary to install a new system to meet modern codes and life safety regulations. As the Construction Administrator for the State of Connecticut, A/Z was responsible for overseeing the installation of this system, which was being performed while the building was occupied. Our support on this project helped to ensure that the new fire protection system was being installed to the exact specifications of the fire protection engineer as well as the critical code requirements set forth by the state.
