A/Z provided mechanical and electrical design and construction services within BSL-3ag guidelines for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Agriculture for the Integrated Facility Improvement Project at the Plum Island Animal Disease Center (PIADC). The scope included the installation of four custom built air handling units, six hazardous duty exhaust fans, 11 multi-filter HEPA banks, steam, condensate, heating hot water, chilled water piping and all other associated components pertaining to the building’s HVAC infrastructure. The team also supported the installation of electrical service, fire alarms, security systems, CCTV, and controls.
