The POROS Expansion Project involved a critical manufacturing addition for Applied Biosystems’ (now Life Technologies) Bedford, MA production facility. A/Z provided extensive design and fabrication of process piping by our in-house modelers and AWS-certified welders. The project encompassed the installation of two Hastelloy Nutsche Filters and modifications to the building’s utility infrastructure including electrical, sanitary and non-hygenic piping as well as instrumentation and controls. Additionally, new TCM and filter skids were designed and fabricated by A/Z as well as the power, control and instrumentation work.
